The Cinderella story has been captivating people of every age for almost 230 years. Now there's a fresh new take on the beloved fairytale in the capital, in town for the festive season and given an exciting twist at the Lyric Hammersmith Theatre. Vibrant costumes and catchy show tunes join a refreshed version of the plot, written by Joel Horwood who gave us The Ocean at the End of the Lane and I Want My Hat Back. His production of Aladdin was a huge hit. The fun is directed by Robin Belfield (Princess Essex, Anansi The Spider) another good sign for a fabulous experience.

Cinderella's nasty step-sisters treat Cinders like a servant. Her step-mother is just as horrible. She would love to get away from them all and find a happier life. Then a magical invitation to the royal ball arrives at the house, Cinderella's Fairy Godmother sends her off on an amazing adventure, and there's loads of laughter, romance and festive fun. Will it all disappear in a puff of smoke when the clock strikes twelve, or will her dreams finally come true? The best of British panto awaits you, and we predict a sell-out.
