Clarkston description
A charming play exploring themes we all recognise, Clarkston is all about the meaning of friendship, acceptance, love, and the hope that life can be different. Jake is on a mission, heading west to find himself again. Chris is a kindred spirit working nights in a discount supermarket. The setting is a rural town in the USA. As their friendship grows, they discover a shared sense of adventure. Can they take their lead from the legendary explorers Lewis and Clark, and find new meaning in their lives?
Award-winning US playwright Samuel D. Hunter's Clarkston stars Joe Locke (Heartstopper, The Trials, Sweeney Todd, Agatha All Along), Ruaridh Mollica (Sebastian, The Franchise) and Sophie Melville (The Way, Iphigenia in Splott). This is Joe Locke's West End debut. The production is directed by Jack Serio with Set and Costume Design by Milla Clarke, Lighting Design by Stacey Derosier and Sound Design by George Dennis. Dramaturg John Baker and Casting Director Stuart Burt complete the creative team. It's on stage at Trafalgar Theatre for a strictly limited run, so get your skates on!
