FLYBY description

A world premiere. A brand new British musical billed as 'major'. A complex relationship. A stolen spaceship. The profound emptiness of outer space. What's not to like? This brilliant new musical is enjoying its world premier in the West End, and you can expect something extraordinary. Welcome to FLYBY, an intimate musical love story set against the enormity of the universe. Described as romantic and raw, the story reveals the powerful attraction between two people who are hanging onto each other even though staying together could cost them everything.

There's an awesome cast on board including Poppy Gilbert (Sherwood, The Catch, The Other Bennett Sister) and Stuart Thompson, who delighted us in Spring Awakening at the Almeida and SAS: Rogue Heroes on the BBC. Originally developed at The National Theatre Studio, it's great to see the musical out in the wild, ready to take on the West End. Writer Theo Jamieson is a highly respected composer, arranger and supervisor who worked on Famous Five, Love Child, Everybody's Talking About Jamie, High Society, and Putting It Together. Directed by Adam Lenson, who gave us Cable Street, this bold new musical extravaganza is tipped to be a hit.
