Garry Starr: Classic Penguins description
Welcome to 'the longest cumulative time of full-frontal nudity in a West End stage show'. Or that's what it'll be if Garry Starr gets his way, having formally applied to the Guinness World Record organisation. Eighteen-plus hilarity awaits you with Classic Penguins, winner of Most Outstanding Show at Melbourne International Comedy Festival 2025, Best Comedy Adelaide Fringe 2025, and Best Comedy Fringe World 2025. Global phenomenon comedian Garry Starr is at the heart of it all, delivering this international sell-out, award-winning, cult hit show about saving books from extinction.
Starr performs every Penguin Classic ever written, mostly naked, armed with flippers, taking us on an irreverent adventure through iconic fiction at a blistering pace. The show is created by Damien Warren-Smith and directed by Cal McCrystal. It's produced by Francesca Moody Productions, the same team that gave us Fleabag, Baby Reindeer, and Kathy and Stella Solve a Murder. And it's on stage for just four performances. Everyone who loves quality comedy with a focus on top quality silliness will adore this crazy mixture of clowning, slapstick and physical theatre.
