Glengarry Glen Ross description
Welcome to Glengarry Glen Ross, a real estate office in Chicago, USA. You're engaged in a fierce dog eat dog sales competition with your colleagues, and unless you come first or second you'll lose your job. First place snags a Cadillac, second place means you get a set of knives, third or fourth place and you're out on your ear. Because the play is set in the round, you get a hyper-dramatic intimate 360-degree experience. And there's more – this time around the cast is 100% female, reflecting the way things have changed since the play premiered in 1983. But as you'll find out, some aspects of our capitalist system haven't changed a bit.
Described as obscene, hilarious, gripping and powerful, the play reveals the harsh energy and cut throat drama of the 1980s, skilfully reimagined for the twenty first century. Set and Costume design by Rob Howell, Lighting by Sally Ferguson, Props Supervision by Katie Saunders for Propworks, and Wigs, Hair and Make Up from Campbell Young Associates add to the drama to create something awesome, along with Voice by Charlie Hughes-D'Aeth and Dialect from Danièle Lydon. Casting is by Helena Palmer CDG. The West End grapevine says tickets are going to sell fast, so don't miss your chance to see this legend-in-the-making.
