In Pieces description

About the Show

In Pieces follows six characters through three chapters of their lives, tracing their romantic journeys alongside their friendships and family ties. As old wounds and unresolved feelings resurface, each of them has to work out whether it is possible to hold on to both the joy and the pain of the past. The story is told through a pop-influenced score that explores love, loss and self-discovery.

The production at The Other Palace, opening on 6 February 2027, is the world premiere of the first full staging of the musical. In Pieces found its audience before reaching this point, through sold-out concerts at The Other Palace and at Joe's Pub in New York, a staged concert version in 2026, a filmed concert released online that was bought 20,000 times in 151 countries, and a deluxe highlights album on Broadway Records with more than 70 million streams.

Cast and Creatives

The show is written and composed by Joey Contreras, a finalist for the Fred Ebb Award and the Jonathan Larson Grant, whose other musicals include Forget Me Not, Robby Green Is All Grown Up and Heartbreakers in Hell. Martha Geelan returns to direct, with choreography by Sam Wilson Freeman and music supervision by Brian Russell Carey, who co-wrote the orchestrations with Contreras. Geelan's credits include Jane, Babies at The Other Palace and, as associate director, Fiddler on the Roof and The Producers at the Menier Chocolate Factory.

Casting for the production will be announced at a later date. Casting director is Harry Blumenau, and the show is produced by Regular People and RJG Productions.
