About the Show

Elle Woods has her life mapped out until her boyfriend drops her for someone he considers more serious. Her answer is to follow him to Harvard Law School and win him back. Once there she finds she is rather better at the law than anyone expected, including herself, and a murder trial gives her the chance to prove it.

Legally Blonde The Musical is adapted from Amanda Brown's novel and the 2001 MGM film. Its 2010 West End production won three Olivier Awards, including Best New Musical. This staging comes from Curve and ROYO and transfers a UK and Ireland tour that sold out. It opens at the London Coliseum on 22 March 2027.

Cast and Creatives

The book is by Heather Hach, with music and lyrics by Laurence O'Keefe and Nell Benjamin. Nikolai Foster, artistic director of Curve, directs, with choreography by Leah Hill and musical supervision and arrangements by Matt Spencer-Smith. Set design is by Colin Richmond, costume by Tom Rogers, wigs, hair and make-up by Sam Cox, lighting by Ben Cracknell and sound by Adam Fisher.

Amber Davies plays Elle Woods. She returns to the London Coliseum, where she played Jordan Baker in The Great Gatsby in 2025 and won the WhatsOnStage Award for Best Supporting Performer in a Musical.
