This lovely ballet is a brand new production by English National Ballet, choreographed by George Williamson, with dancing by students at the English National Ballet School's Graduate Artists Programme. The plot? Nature-loving Cinderella lives on the fringes of an enchanted forest. When her mum was there, home was full of fun and laughter. Now all Cinderella has is a mean stepmother and two noisy stepsisters. Then a letter arrives inviting the household to a Garden Ball, and Cinderella sets off into the woods to find herself. The story is narrated to help young kids understand what's happening, and a shortened, recorded version of Prokofiev's score gently introduces them to classical music. Expect a memorable family dance theatre experience with a difference.
