Alfred Hitchcock’s classic movie, North By Northwest, delighted millions. Now there's a fresh new adaptation in town, on stage at Alexandra Palace, and brought to life by the legendary Emma Rice, who also directs. Billed as a riotously funny reworking, the show turns the original thriller on its head. But the biggest fun of all is the cast of six shape-shifting actors who take on every role through a series of clever costume changes. The 1950s soundtrack adds to the fun to deliver an evening of romance and risk. Meet Roger Thornhill, our hero, whose life is about to be turned upside down thanks to a serious case of mistaken identity. When he phones his mum, the timing turns out to be spectacularly bad, unexpectedly involving our hero in a terrifying Cold War conspiracy that has nothing to do with him.

Starring Mirabelle Gremaud as Anna, Patrycja Kujawska as Eva Kendall, Simon Oskarsson as Valerian, Katy Owen as The Professor, Karl Queensborough as Philip Vandamm, and Ewan Wardrop as Roger Thornhill, the show is adapted and directed by Emma Rice. The set and costume are by Rob Howell, Sound by Simon Baker, Lighting by Malcolm Rippeth, Movement and Choreography by Etta Murfitt, and the Creative Consultant is Mark Kaufman.
