Only Fools and Horses the Musical description

About Only Fools and Horses the Musical

It's kushty! This is a lively, silly, great fun 2019 stage musical with book, music and lyrics by Paul Whitehouse and Jim Sullivan, who sadly died in 2011. It's the stage version of the British TV comedy series that the nation adores, thanks to classic comedy moments like the falling over at the bar joke, the broom joke, Trigger's dodgy briefcases and much, much more. The show is so popular it's more or less in the country's comedy DNA, and that's why this show is proving so incredibly well-loved.

What's the story of Only Fools and Horses the Musical?

Welcome to Peckham! Set in 1989, this hilarious plot revolves around Del Boy looking for love – as usual – and Rodney getting ready to marry Cassandra. Grandad is busy looking back at his life. The show features 20 dazzlingly silly new tunes, co-written by John Sullivan and the late Chas Hodges from the Cockney duo Chas and Dave.

Who is starring in Only Fools and Horses the Musical?

The original TV series stars were played by Sir David Jason, Nicholas Lyndhurst and Lennard Pearce. For the musical Paul Whitehouse, who we know and love for his work on The Fast Show and much more, plays the part of Grandad. Tom Bennett, who delighted us with his role as 'Christophuck' in E4's cult TV comedy Phoneshop, plays Del Boy. And the brilliant Ryan Hutton makes his professional debut playing Rodney. Paul Whitehouse performs in the show until 2nd May.

Who is on the Only Fools and Horses the Musical creative team?

The Director and Choreographer is Caroline Jay Ranger and the Musical Supervisor and Orchestrator Arranger is Stuart Morely. The Set and Costume Designer is Liz Ascroft and the Lighting Designer is Richard G Jones. Rory Madden designed the sound and the Casting Director is David Grindrod CDG. The Associate Director and Choreographer is Denise Ranger and the show is produced by Phil McIntyre Entertainments.
