Sherlock Holmes description
The place is London. The year is 1890, a time when the capital was changing and growing so fast it was hard to keep up. Sherlock Holmes has just solved his first big case when a strange woman bearing a fabulous jewel turns up at 221B Baker Street. A dramatic chase, people's lives in the balance, and very little time combine to force Holmes and Watson to race around the streets and down the mighty Thames to reveal the truth about a deadly conspiracy. As you can imagine, it's thrilling stuff, a dazzling new plot designed to keep you on the edge of your seats until the dramatic ending. Joshua James (Black Mirror, Andor) plays Holmes, giving the character an interesting new twist.
Joel Horwood (The Ocean at the End of the Lane) has written the story, and Sean Holmes (Pinocchio, The Merry Wives of Windsor) directs. On-stage suspense, intrigue and theatrical magic come to vibrant life thanks to a creative team to reckon with: Composer Jherek Bischoff, Set and Co-Costume Designer Grace Smart, Lighting Designer Ryan Day, Movement Director Charlotte Broom, Sound Designer Elena Peña and Casting Director Stuart Burt CDG, CSA. Will you figure the mystery out before the country's best-loved detective, or will he and Watson beat you to it? It's a thrill a minute!
