This is Some Woman, a play that questions the life choices we quietly make for ourselves, then accept as the truth. Helen Edmundson's compelling new drama explores identity, self-worth, and the way we sometimes find the courage we need to be heard. It stars the brilliant Ann-Marie Duff, who cut her acting teeth on TV's Shameless and has thrilled audiences with her talent ever since. 

This is Duff's first time at the National Theatre since her critically acclaimed role as Lady Macbeth during 2018, a welcome return for the BAFTA winner who gave us Bad Sisters, The Virgin Queen, Sex Education and so much more on TV and the stage. Billed as a provocative, powerful new drama by Helen Edmundson (Small Island), it's directed by Blanche McIntyre (Tartuffe), with Set and Costume Design from Robert Jones, and this is the play's premiere. Expect 'amazing' and you won't be disappointed!
