Is Little Voice's singing made to be heard? The Rise and Fall Of Little Voice follows a reclusive, shy young woman whose nickname, LV, is short for 'Little Voice'. She spends most of her life shut away in her bedroom at home, singing along to her deceased dad's beloved record collection. She perfectly mimics iconic singers like Shirley Bassey, Billie Holiday and Judy Garland with her beautiful, pitch-perfect voice, but when she's overheard by her mum's latest boyfriend, a talent scout, her world changes forever. As LV is forced towards stardom she confronts her fears and finds her own identity. Little Voice has to decide if she's brave enough to emerge from the shadows and discover her own voice. 

The story is moving, funny and highly entertaining, which is why the show has been produced so many times over the years since it premiered at the national Theatre in 1992. Francesca Mills (Silent Witness, Hamlet, The Witcher: Blood Origin) plays the lead role in this major new production of Jim Cartwright's classic, directed by National Theatre Deputy Artistic Director Robert Hastie. Paul Chuckle (The Madam Blanc Mysteries) and Jill Halfpenny (The Long Shadow) also join the cast. A gorgeous story that never grows old.
