A new drama by Nick Payne, The Unbelievers is on stage at the Royal Court Theatre, a powerful exploration of hope, faith and motherhood. This is the show's world premiere, fresh from the pen of the playwright who gave us Constellations and We Live in Time. The star of the show is Nicola Walker, whose many TV roles and stage appearances have created a legend-in-the-making.

The plot takes an emotional deep-dive into what happens when a teenaged boy disappears, and his mum refuses to give up on him. Directed by Olivier and Tony Award-winner Marianne Elliott (War Horse, Company, The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time, Angels in America), it offers a harrowing examination of what it's like to be a mum. The set design is by Bunny Christie (Company, People Places and Things) and it is a co-production with Playful Productions.
