Unfortunate: The Untold Story of Ursula The Sea Witch description

Disney's The Little Mermaid is a sweet and innocent tale. Unfortunate: The Untold Story of Ursula the Sea Witch parodies the children's story with the villainous Ursula in the starring role, telling us her own version in a West End musical to tickle your funny bone. Rude, outrageous, and stacked with adult humour, it is definitely not for the kids! A brilliant original pop soundtrack accompanies this critically acclaimed show, preceded by successful seasons in Edinburgh, Birmingham, Manchester, and London. It was a jewel in the Edinburgh Festival crown in 2019, selling out at the Fringe in 2022. A 2024 London run and UK tour, then a Nordic premiere in Sweden, make the 2026 London run a potential best-seller.

The cast features Sam Buttery as Ursula and Miracle Chance as Ariel. Book and Lyrics by Robyn Grant and Daniel Foxx, Music by Tim Gilvin and direction from Robyn Grant join Set and Costume Design by Jasmine Swan, Choreography by Melody Sinclair-Marsh, and Puppetry/Movement Direction from Laura Cubitt. There's Orchestration, Music Production and Music Supervision by Nikki Davison and Joe Davison, Sound Design by Ian Dickinson and Lighting Design by Adam King, with Puppet Designers Mikayla Teodoro and Jasmine Swan and Theatrical Magic Consultant Chris Cox. Prepare for a laugh like no other.
