Gary Barlow is a legend. He helped take the boy band Take That to heights no boy band had achieved before. He is one of Britain's most successful songwriters. He’s a talented record producer. He has a voice like an angel. And he’s the proud owner of a grand total of eight BRIT Awards, having sold more than 45 million records. He has co-written and produced music for stars like Dame Shirley Bassey, Sir Elton John, and his fellow ex-Take That member Robbie Williams.

You’d think that was enough. But no. Barlow has turned his laser focus on the stage in recent years and of course he’s made an enormous success of that, too. He wrote the score for the smash hit Finding Neverland. He worked with Tim Firth on Calendar Girls The Musical, and collaborated with Tim and Take That to make ‘The Band’, the record-breaking stage musical. At the moment it’s being turned into a feature film, yet another string to the man’s bow.

What's the story of Gary Barlow's A Different Stage?

Gary Barlow has performed this amazingly intimate show to numerous sold-our venues, including the North West of England, his home region. Following runs at The Playhouse in Liverpool and at Edinburgh's Royal Lyceum Theatre, the show moves to the West End. It’ll be in London at the Duke of York’s between 30th August and 18th September 2022. Barlow’s long-time collaboration with Tim Firth extends yet again, this time to an exceptional piece of personal theatre. The show is pleasingly intimate, searingly honest, and of course there’s magical music to match.
