Beetlejuice The Musical description

It's a cult classic. The UK has been waiting for this for years. Now, at long last, a West End run of Beetlejuice The Musical is on the cards. Whether you've seen Tim Burton's beloved 1988 film or not, you'll fall in love with this quirky plot. It's also a West End musical with a heart. Under all the spooky fun and games, there's a powerful message about family and love. Directed by two-time Tony winner Alex Timbers (Moulin Rouge! The Musical, Just in Time), you'll meet lonely teen Lydia, whose mum has died. Her neglectful dad has found a new girlfriend and they've moved to a new home. When the hauntings begin and the eccentric exorcist ghost Beetlejuice turns up to help Lydia, things start to get really weird.

You know a story hits all the right buttons when it attracts fans from across the world. Having thrilled people in countries as different as South Korea, Norway, Japan, Brazil, Australia, Poland, and the Czech Republic, London audiences can't wait for the fun to start. Music and lyrics by Eddie Perfect and book by Scott Brown and Anthony King sit at the heart of the show. The rest of the creative team? There's musical direction, orchestrations and incidental music by Kris Kukul, choreography by Connor Gallagher (The Robber Bridegroom), set design by David Korins, costume design by William Ivey Long, lighting design by Kenneth Posner, sound design by Peter Hylenski, projection design from Peter Nigrini, and puppet design from Michael Curry. Prepare for something extraordinary!
