Bill Bailey: Vaudevillean description

Award-winner Bill Bailey is a feminist, lifetime left winger, animal rights supporter, and dedicated campaigner for better awareness of prostate cancer. As well as being an all-round good egg, he also just happens to be one of the UK's best-loved comedians. His enormous body of work includes Bewilderness, Part Troll, Cosmic Jam, Tinselworm, The Lord of Whimsy, Dandelion Mind, Qualmpeddler and many more, guaranteeing audiences a laugh-a-minute experience with his new show. This time around the subject is Vaudeville, a form of entertainment a lot like old-school variety shows, particularly popular in early 1900s America. And because it's a family show, you can bring everyone along to enjoy the fun.

Bill Bailey: Vaudevillean celebrates this great live entertainment tradition with his usual versatile, multi-instrumental, multi-lingual, humorous verve. The result is a spellbinding musical event that'll leave you in gales of laughter, a brilliant tonic for the madness of the modern world. You'll be amused, amazed, enthralled, transported and diverted by the master-comedian's antics, and his tall tales of the strange and unusual, that you might want to see it all over again! The show, which debuted to huge acclaim in New Zealand, goes on tour before it lands in the capital, and as with all Bill's shows we predict tickets will sell like hot cakes.
