Derren Brown: Only Human description
About the Show
Derren Brown: Only Human is a new live show in which Derren Brown combines mind-reading, psychological illusion and storytelling. The show explores what it means to be human: our perceptions, our beliefs, and the fragile line between reality and illusion, through material that is deeply personal to Brown.
The brand-new production opens at the Apollo Theatre on 10 October 2026 for a strictly limited West End season, following a sold-out tour of the UK and Ireland. On tour it received five-star reviews from Liverpool Theatres and Manchester Theatres, and Secret Stage Reviews described it as "a live investigation of free will and prediction, delivered with the snap of standup and the tension of a Hitchcock thriller". The show is not suitable for children under 12.
Cast and Creatives
Derren Brown is a multi-award-winning showman whose live shows are built around mind-reading and psychological illusion. Only Human is his latest show, and he presents it himself on stage.
Critics on the tour singled out Brown's performance. I Love Manchester wrote that "Derren Brown has been redefining live entertainment for over two decades, and with Only Human, he proves he's still at the very top of his game", while Manchester Theatres noted that "even if you've seen Derren Brown before, it still feels fresh and new and exciting".
Why You Should Watch It
Only Human offers an evening of mind-reading and illusion that asks how much of what we perceive can be trusted. Book tickets now to see Derren Brown live at the Apollo Theatre.
