Elf the Musical description
It's Christmas, the perfect time to indulge your inner elf! Whatever your age, you'll love this smash hit musical, which has already had six sold-out tours and grossed a million dollars in just one week on Broadway. Whether you've seen the beloved 2003 comedy movie or you're new to the story, Elf: The Musical is a barrel of laughs as well as a colourful, funny spectacle to thrill the kids. Back in the capital to make Xmas even better, it's on stage at the Aldwych Theatre, where you'll meet Buddy, a human raised by elves at the North Pole. Once he discovers he isn't actually an elf, he decides to go to New York City in search of his real human identity, and while he's at it, recreate the spirit of Christmas.
Catchy tunes, vivid costumes, and dazzling choreography are the name of the game, along with the famous scene where Santa roars across the stage, a big favourite with audiences. No wonder, when it hit the capital for the first time in 2015, the musical was an instant hit. The songs are composed by Tony Award nominees Matthew Sklar and Chad Beguelin (Disney's Aladdin, Broadway). The book is by Tony winners Thomas Meehan (Annie, The Producers, Hairspray) and Bob Martin (The Drowsy Chaperone). Because the show is so popular, we expect a sell-out, so make sure you get your Elf Musical tickets early.
