Idiots Assemble: Spitting Image The Musical description

About Idiots Assemble: Spitting Image The Musical

A West End debut for the Spitting Image puppets, Idiots Assemble: Spitting Image The Musical is running at the Phoenix Theatre between 24 May - 26 August 2023.

This new musical is written by three comic legends - Al Murray (The Pub Landlord), Matt Forde (The Political Party) and double Olivier Award winner Sean Foley (Upstart Crow).

Starting life as an incredibly popular TV show watched by millions since 1984, Spitting Image uses puppets of famous faces to parody and satirise popular events, cultural moments and modern politics - and nobody is safe from their comedic wit.

After receiving critical acclaim for their initial run at Birmingham Rep earlier this year, this spectacular theatrical production makes it London premiere this summer. Packed full of comedy, songs and familiar faces in puppet form, book your tickets today!

What is Idiots Assemble: Spitting Image The Musical about?

When the world is in danger from dark forces, there's only one group who can save us - the Spitting Image puppets! Made up of familiar faces in puppet form, the 'Magnificent Seven' hoping to save the world include Tom Cruise, Greta Thunberg, Meghan Markle, Tyson Fury, RuPaul, Angela Rayner and Idris Elba.

But that's not all, along the way they'll meet other puppet celebs who will help or hinder their quest including James Corden, Ant and Dec, Elon Musk, Keir Starmer, Stormzy, the Tory Party Cabinet and many more.

With over 100 puppets bringing this musical spectacular to life, prepare for plenty of comedy, jaw dropping dancing and zero respect to those being parodied!
