Midnight in the Toyshop description
When you were little, did you long for your toys to come alive when you were asleep? Feel the magic of childhood's innocence once more with this lovely show. Midnight in the Toyshop is a mini-musical for children, in the West End for a limited run. It's packed with catchy tunes, cool dances and joyful storytelling, the perfect introduction to the magic of live theatre. It's all down to Perform Productions, who gave us the wonderful West End hits Jungle Rumble and Magical Merlin. Lucy Quick and Will Barnett, the founders, know exactly what makes kids tick, making this delightful show one to remember. It's inspiring for little ones.
The story is about a magical toyshop. As the clock strikes midnight, the toys come alive. They're about to set off on a big adventure to save the home they love from the nasty tech entrepreneur Peyton Pixel, who is determined to demolish the shop to build a high tech AI experience. The toys must prove children still want them, and feisty Belle Ballerina, high-octane Rebel Racer and cake-fuelled Grumble the dinosaur are perfect for the job. As it turns out, real friendships are what life is all about.
