Paranormal Activity description

So how spooky is Paranormal Activity? The word on the street is it'll have you up late at night, unable to sleep without the lights on. On stage at the Ambassadors Theatre for just 12 weeks, this terrific paranormal story takes its inspiration from the 2007 horror film produced, written, directed, photographed and edited by Oren Peli, and the prequels and sequels that fleshed out the story. This time around, there's a brand new plot, again starring the unfortunate young couple James and Lou, who can't seem to shift the thing that haunts them even though they've moved home from Chicago to London to avoid it. Was their old home haunted, or is it actually them?

This brilliant modern ghost story comes to life on stage thanks to a talented team that has created an unusually intimate experience to immerse you in creeping dread, presenting unseen horrors and ramping up the psychological tension so effectively it has been called 'mind bending'. Written by Levi Holloway (Grey House) and directed by Felix Barrett (Punchdrunk), there's spooky set and costume design by Fly Davis, scary illusion design by Chris Fisher, disturbing video design by Luke Halls, threatening lighting design by Anna Watson, and equally spooky sound design by Gareth Fry. The casting is by Stuart Burt CDG and Ginny Schiller CDG. This is the perfect West End show for anyone who relishes a realistic supernatural treat.
