The Guy Who Didn’t Like Musicals description
It's a living nightmare. Paul Matthews doesn't like musicals. Then his small town is taken over by an alien entity, and before long, every single person in town is singing and dancing like they're in a musical. Expect a thrilling mix of chaos, dark comedy, and brilliant show tunes as this massive viral success, originally created online in 2018, takes to the stage in London. The Guy Who Didn't Like Musicals is a laugh-a-minute romp like nothing you've ever seen before, a huge treat for StarKid Productions fans of every age. StarKid's UK debut blew the roof off at the London Palladium in 2024 with its sell-out production of It's Starkid Innit. A year later, the team sold out again, this time with I Can't Believe It's Been a Little Less Than a Year. So all the signs are looking good.
This is actually the first instalment in StarKid's Hatchetfield series, itself inspired by Invasion of the Body Snatchers, the classic horror film. It also happens to be StarKids' 11th stage show, on stage live in the West End for the first time. Music and lyrics by Jeff Blim join a book by Matt Lang and Nick Lang. The Choreography is by James Tolbert. Directed by Lauren Lopez, it features Jon Matteson, Joey Richter, Jeff Blim, Jaime Lyn Beatty, Mariah Rose Faith Casillas, Corey Dorris, and Lauren Lopez. Are you ready for this lively, captivating, crazy show like no other?
