To Sir, With Love – A New Musical is on stage for just two concert performances in one day at London's Gillian Lynne Theatre. British pop legend, actress and Grammy-nominee Lulu joins the cast along with US stage and TV star Wayne Brady (How I Met Your Mother, Moulin Rouge!) to re-tell the story that launched her career back in 1967, playing opposite Sidney Poitier in the 1967 movie, itself adapted from E.R. Braithwaite’s beloved memoir. The show comes with wonderful music and lyrics by John Farrar and Kara DioGuardi. And, of course, it includes the classic title song To Sir, With Love, written by Mark London and Don Black.

Exploring class, race, resilience and respect, the plot follows young teacher Rick Braithwaite, a man who has to fight prejudice every step of the way despite being a Cambridge-educated engineer and a former RAF fighter pilot. But as a talented teacher he doesn't just prepare his students for exams, he prepares them for life. The show is directed by Sheldon Epps. Musical direction comes from Kenny Seymour, with music and lyrics from John Farrar and Kara DioGuardi. Casting by Debbie O’Brien, musical arrangements by Eve Nelson, musical supervision and orchestration from Joseph Joubert, choreography from Edgar Godineaux and dramaturgy by Shereen Jasmin Phillips complete the creative side. A unique musical event to savour.
