As we arrived at our row, we asked the people already seated in our row to allow us access to our seats. We were informed they had a disabled person and can't move and can we go to the other side!! We were only 3 seats from the aisle!!! I then went to the staff who had directed me to the seats and explained the situation and they told me to go down the central aisle.
So going down the central aisle I had to apologise to the whole of the row for disturbing them, which they were most disgruntled as they didn't speak English and didn't understand the situation. I felt awkward and upset that I was put into this situation and could quite easily has been resolved by a member of the staff escorting us to our seats and explaining to the people in the row who preceded to call me and my daughter 'ignorant English'.
Also is it not a health and safety issue that we would not have been able to use our closest emergency exit??? I felt throughly let down and would not visit this theatre again!!!
