Upper Circle
Significantly larger than The Dress Circle, the Upper Circle is split into an upper and lower section by a wall. The front block is split into two sections by two aisles. Those members of the audience who prefer to feel closer to the action should choose the lower section as the upper section may feel quite distant and due to the very high rake offers only obstructed view onto the stage.
If you are after a bargain and don’t mind restricted views the upper section tickets are really cheap. Patrons who suffer from acrophobia and have experienced vertigo in the past should definitely avoid the upper section if not the Upper Circle all together.
Legroom feels quite restricted in this part of the theatre and the taller member of the audience should aim for sets in the Stalls or the Dress Circle, yet it is worth knowing that row M offers more legroom in this part of the theatre. There is a metal bar across row A which obstructs the view for those in front of it and the same situation occurs in row G.
The best seats in this section of the Cambridge Theatre are in the middle of rows B-F as they offer a clear and unobstructed view onto the stage. £5 day seats are available in the Upper Circle and as said before they are a bargain for those who do not mind being quite a distance away from the action on stage.
The Upper Circle is not wheelchair accessible and is not suitable for those with reduced mobility or children.
